EGO 765 CFM LB7654 vs. 650 CFM LB6504 leaf blower: which 56V kit fits your yard and wrist?

Compare the LB7654 and LB6504 by the maximum airflow, speed dial, kit battery, and weight held in one hand. If your EGO mower battery is the better fit, the BH1001 Backpack Link moves it onto a harness.

Which path sounds like your situation?

LB7654

More dial range for heavier debris

Consider it when you want more airflow before reaching for Turbo. Its 5.0Ah battery is the same capacity as the LB6504 kit.

LB6504

650 CFM is enough for your cleanup

Use its lower maximum output as the deciding constraint if dry clippings and routine leaf piles are the usual job.

BH1001

Move a larger battery off your wrist

Choose the harness when you already have a larger EGO battery and accept the tether between the pack and tool.

Why the battery changes the handheld feel

Both kits include a 4.87-pound 5.0Ah pack, so the battery does not add a weight penalty to the LB7654 compared with the LB6504. The bare LB7654 is lighter in EGO's catalog; together, tool and pack total about 9.5 pounds before the nozzle or strap.

EGO lists its 7.5Ah and 10.0Ah batteries at 6.31 and 7.53 pounds. A larger mower pack adds more weight to a handheld blower. The BH1001 moves that pack onto shoulder straps, but adds a cord between your back and the tool.

The LB7654 speed dial reaches up to 580 CFM; the LB6504 dial reaches up to 470 CFM. If the LB6504's range already covers the work, the larger maximum of the LB7654 may not change your routine.

When should you skip buying a full blower kit?

Skip the full kit if you only clear dry grass clippings from a short sidewalk and already own a compatible 2.5Ah or 4.0Ah EGO battery. Check the bare-tool listing and confirm its exact kit contents. Wear eye and hearing protection, and keep high-velocity airflow away from gravel, windows, cars, pets, and bystanders.

Match the battery and nozzle to the job

  1. Start at the lowest speed that moves debris.Use a narrow nozzle for directed cleanup and a spread nozzle when you need a wider pass.
  2. Use Turbo for short bursts.EGO lists up to 15 minutes in Turbo for both kits. Switch back to the dial when the debris allows it.
  3. Keep the battery path simple.Store the kit battery with its charger. If a larger mower battery is already in the household, use the backpack link only when its tether fits the cleanup route.

EGO lists up to 150 minutes at low speed, 25 minutes at high speed, and 15 minutes in Turbo mode. Runtime varies with conditions and use.
