EGO mower model comparison: LM2114SP to LM2244SP-2

Compare the kit EGO actually lists for each model. The useful differences here are the cut system, the battery and charger in the box, and the runtime EGO publishes for that configuration.

Six EGO self-propelled mower kits at a glance

Runtime is EGO’s stated maximum for the listed battery configuration. EGO notes that actual runtime varies with the battery, grass condition, and operation. It is not a promise for a particular lawn.

What changes between the mower models people compare?

LM2114SP vs LM2135SP

Both are 21-inch self-propelled mowers. The LM2114SP kit lists a 6.0Ah battery and 320W charger, single-blade cutting, 6.0 ft-lb torque, and up to 50 minutes. LM2135SP lists a 7.5Ah battery and Rapid charger, Select Cut multi-blade system, 7.0 ft-lb torque, and up to 60 minutes. Choose by the cut system and kit you want; the runtime figures are manufacturer maxima.

LM2125SP vs LM2135SP

Both list a 7.5Ah battery, 550W Rapid charger, 21-inch deck, 6.0 ft-lb versus 7.0 ft-lb torque, and up to 60 minutes. The model distinction EGO highlights is single blade on LM2125SP versus Select Cut multi-blade on LM2135SP. Battery size alone does not separate them.

LM2135SP vs LM2156SP

Both have 21-inch decks and Select Cut systems. The LM2156SP is the Select Cut XP version and ships with a 10.0Ah battery and 700W Turbo charger; its published torque is 8.3 ft-lb and maximum runtime is 75 minutes. LM2135SP ships with 7.5Ah and lists 7.0 ft-lb and up to 60 minutes. Step up when the included battery and XP cut system answer a real need.

LM2206SP vs LM2244SP-2

Both have 22-inch decks and Select Cut. LM2206SP has a cast-aluminum deck, one included 10.0Ah battery, a 700W Turbo charger, 11.1 ft-lb listed torque, and up to 70 minutes. LM2244SP-2 has a super-composite deck and Peak Power dual battery port, with two included 6.0Ah batteries, a Dual Port charger, 10.6 ft-lb listed torque, and up to 90 minutes. The longer published runtime comes with a two-pack setup; it does not make the models interchangeable in deck material or kit handling.

All six use EGO’s 56V ARC Lithium platform

EGO says its 56V ARC Lithium batteries work with its tools and chargers. Capacity and weight still affect runtime and handling. LM2244SP-2 is a Peak Power mower: EGO describes its dual port as combining two 56V batteries. Follow that model’s manual for the battery count required for your use.
