Choose based on the tools you own
The SSA1200 makes sense when a PH1400 or PH1420 power head is already in your shed. It connects to that Multi-Head system and saves you from adding another dedicated motor unit. It does not include the power head, battery, or charger. EGO recommends a 4.0Ah battery for the attachment.
The SNS1201 is the complete standalone kit, including a 2.5Ah battery and charger. The SNS1200 is the bare standalone tool for owners who already have a compatible EGO battery and charger. EGO lists the SNS1201 weight as 16.7 pounds with its included 2.5Ah battery.
Both options have a 12-inch clearing width. EGO lists up to 25 feet of throw for the SSA1200. Consider the size and shape of your walkway, steps, and storage area; these compact shovels are not wheeled driveway blowers.
